Most photographs are acknowledged to be the work of John Dillwyn Llewelyn and Thereza Mary Dillwyn Llewelyn. The subject matter concentrates very much on the houses of their social circle and their immediate localities, notably Penlle'r-gaer, Margam and Singleton.
