Item from the festive costume worn by women from the Turkish minority population of Dobroudja, it was wrapped around the waist, on top of the salwars. The piece is a belt spread with seven narrow plates (filigree clasp – fibula) interposed with four three-button clusters. The ends attach in double buttons, a heart- shaped loop and a split silver buckle – leaf-shaped with semicircular edges. One side of the buckle has a round piece addition hiding the sunflower clasp. Stronger touches of paint emphasize the decorative pattern.
