12 pattern-woven strips joined selvedge to selvedge by whip stitching to create a larger cloth; warp arranged in white and blue stripes; blocks of weft faced patterning are spaced regularly throughout the striped plain weave ground fabric; four-unit groups of abutting patterned blacks are present at the top and bottom end of each strip, forming borders at the top and bottom of the cloth when the strips are joined; top and bottom edges are un-hemmed, ending in a short fringe.
