14 pattern-woven strips joined selvedge to selvedge by whip stitching to create a larger cloth; piecing seams are present within several strips; warp arranged in white and blue stripes; blocks of weft faced patterning are spaced regularly throughout the plain weave striped ground fabric; four-unit groups of abutting patterned blacks are present at the top and bottom ends of each strip; this forms borders along the top and bottom edges of the cloth when the strips are joined; top and bottom edges are un-hemmed, ending in a short fringe.
