Woman Spinning Silk

Here a woman is doing the incredibly difficult skill of spinning silk thread, yet turning her head, whilst spinning she makes this look deceptively simple. She is wearing a Jain kyrshah, the traditional gingham scarf that Khasi women wear over their clothes particularly whislt working.
