The figurine shows a woman in a yellow dress walking with a greyhound. Her pale complexion is contrasted with her short black hair in an "à la garçonne" hairstyle. The craze for short hair fell on the 1920s. The hairdresser who promoted the "tomboy" haircut in 1909 was Antoni Cierplikowski - he invented it for the actress Ève Lavallière. Antoine combed, among others, Mata Hari, Edith Piaf and Josephine Baker. Fashion for a short haircut allowed to create many different options, for example the so-called à la Eton Boy.
