It is difficult to know to what extent it would be appropriate to establish a direct link, but it is inevitable to presuppose some relationships (the theme is obvious) between the figure represented in this drawing and those of the sculpture Aguadoras, 1925, also included in this catalogue. Certain characteristics of Michelangelo's weight and rotundity are observed, not far removed, on the other hand, from Noucentista concepts perfectly captured by Gargallo in sculptural pieces as significant and even emblematic as his two Bathers - lowered head and raised head -, 1924.
