Women from the Atlantic region dress with a clothing that would help them outstand the high temperatures of the seaside region of the country, of clear Spanish influence and made with different vibrant colors, it reflected the wealth coming from European commerce that arrive on the region. The women of this area tried to adapt their dresses more into the similar fashion of the Spanish ruling upper-class, while conserving their African roots and keeping adequate to the climate.
