Jokduri is an official women’s coronet used in the Joseon Dynasty. This type of coronets was generally made of black silk, and had a round bottom and a hexagonal top with the inside filled with cotton. These coronets were decorated with Seven Treasures, jade, orpiment, cloudy amber, coral, or malachite, although some had no decorations. These coronets were classified based on decorations into those using Seven Treasures, yeoyeom jokduri used to support a large wig, those with no ornaments, and those with a single or several jewel pins on the top. It was designed in different colors including purple, pink and white depending on the purpose.
