A wooden panel from a door with vegetal decoration in high relief forming a calyx-shaped ornament from which spring spiralling leaves. The panel is representative of the transitional stage of vegetal decoration from the early phase characterised by the bevelled technique to the next phase of which a distinctive example is the door presented by Caliph al-Hakim to the mosque of Al-Azhar in 1010.
