Wooden Gbotoma Figure

This item is recorded by the Sierra Leone National Museum as a fetish figure , representing Gbotoma . The original records include the following: according to owner if you are carrying something under your arm this devil will beat you. As you turn around to see who is hitting you it will steal what you are carrying. . It consists of wooden head and segmented neck, surmounted by a comb and two wooden carved horns. Aluminium has been hammered onto the base.
