Wooden model of Milan Duomo

The "modellone" (large model) of Milan Duomo reproduces the Cathedral on a scale of 1:22. An indispensable tool for the evaluations of the architects in charge during the design phase, the model was commissioned by the Chapter of the Fabbrica in 1519 to Bernardo Zenale (1519-1526) and Cristoforo Solari (1520-1524), and was later added to in the following centuries.
