Workbox

This child’s workbox is said to have belonged to Mary Hennell, eldest sister of Charles, Sara and Cara Hennell. While Mary Hennell would have met Mary Ann Evans (George Eliot) after she moved to Coventry in 1841 it would have been a short-lived friendship as Mary died of tuberculosis in 1843.
