Worker's Memories

Catherine Tait lives and works in Castlemaine, Central Victoria, Australia. Tait studied life drawing and painting with the Australian artist Jeff Makin from 2013-2015 and in 2015 studied portraiture in sculpture at the Florence Art Academy, Italy. Tait writes 'For me, the key to a good painting is not the light but the darkness. If you get the darks right, the lights take care of themselves and it all comes together – that’s the magic of painting'.
