This uniform was worn by a Polish-Catholic survivor of concentration camps at Dachau, Mauthausen, and Augsburg. Teenager Jan Kamienski was captured by German troops from his hometown of Posnan and forced into a concentration camp in 1940, surviving until the liberation of the camp at Augsburg in 1945. He immigrated to Detroit in 1951 and brought this uniform with him.
