The WSPU's new London headquarters at Lincoln's Inn House, Kingsway 1912. In October 1912 Emmeline and Fred Pethick- Lawrence, unhappy with the increased militancy of the WSPU, were purged from the leadership. Whilst they remained at Clement's Inn and continued to publish Votes for Women, Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst moved to new premises in Kingsway from where they launched a new weekly paper, The Suffragette.
