Wupatki National Monument

Wupatki National Monument preserves the remains of ancient pueblos built by the Ancestral Puebloan people after the eruption of nearby Sunset Crater in the 1100s. The site became a vibrant cultural and trading center, with its largest structure—Wupatki Pueblo—housing up to 100 people.
