WWI Memorial

The visitors to the memorial calm looking for a clearer understanding of the great war. Such understanding is found in the life of the doughboy, who represents all of the Armed Forces. Etched granite walls depicting call to service posters on the homefront and murals showing the faces of troops and action on the western front are linked by personal letters. The letters from the doughboys made clear how American spirit was able to overcome the number of lives taken from us to achieve victory.
