The 61 centimetre high Hercules statuette shows this when urinating as a result of excessive wine consumption. It is an expression of the hedonistic lust for life characterised by joy, pleasure, enjoyment and sensual desire. The location in front of a mirror was chosen deliberately so that the uninhibited moment could be viewed from all sides.
