This image belongs to a miniature of the Tumbo de Toxosoutos, and shows Diego Xelmirez with Fruela Alfonso and Pedro Muñiz, founders of the Monastery of San Justo de Toxosoutos. The archbishop is depicted with the characteristic symbols of great ecclesiastical personalities, the mitre and crosier. He wears a wide cloak, a tunic tight around his waist, stands upright and wears simple shoes. With his right hand, he blesses the founders, who occupy the centre of the representation holding swords, perhaps as a reminder of their former status as soldiers, and wearing broad green and red clothes. On the far right, eleven figures are depicted in a scaled arrangement, observing the scene. The figures are sheltered by a slim architectural structure whose arches follow a line close to the mitered ones. The background of the scene, blue with white dots, highlights the profile of the images.
