    JAVELINS IN PEAK PRODUCTION May 22nd 1957 PAR 63704-1 (PNR-J) This is the first picture to be released showing the production of Gloster JAVELINS, which will be taking part in greater numbers than before in the annual defence exercise 'Exercise Vigilant' due to start this weekend. The Javelins, seen being built at the Gloster Aircraft Company at Gloucester, are also in peak production at Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft in Coventry - both being members of the Hawker Siddeley Group. The plane is designed to fly and fight at heights of about 50,000 feet and near 700 mph. FOR FIRST PUBLICATION IN EVENING PAPERS OF THURSDAY MAY 23rd 1957 INDUSTRY - AIRCRAFT - POST WAR.
