A carpenter from Punjab moved to Chhainsa village in Haryana around thirty years ago. He made this phatti to sit on, while chiselling wood pieces, to make smaller parts of madani (churner) or toys. The unique shape of this phatti was designed by him, which allowed for a comfortable seating posture while working.
