The eight immortals are shown in this pair of hanging scrolls. Although it is hard to identify all of them, on the right scroll is thought to depict Wu Zhishi unrolling a handscroll, Liu Haichan with a toad sitting on his head, and Zhang Guolao carrying a gourd. On the left scroll are probably Xiao Zhongchu carrying a sword and Li Tieguai shaking something out of the gourd into his hand.
The human contours are drawn with thin lines, while their robes, exposed roots and rock are drawn with rugged thick-and-thin lines. The whole screen, in cold colors, gives bright and clear impressions.
