Most wearable computing system companies created high-end, laptop-class machines because they perceived that Microsoft Windows and local speech recognition were required. Often they struggled with the limitations of using a desktop-based graphical user interface. The Mobile Assistant IV featured up to a 233 MHz Pentium MMX processor, 128 MB of RAM, a 4.3 GB hard drive, and a 640x480 pixel display with a unique mirror design.
