A butterfly-shaped art piece in white and brown, decorated with Talavera style flowers in blue and yellow.
Is a piece that was part of the collaboration between Uriarte Talavera and UDLAP in 1999, “Talavera Contemporanea”. The blue and yellow design is only in certain areas but the parts that are highlight are the brown glazed upper part of the wings that doesn´t give the feeling of smoothness like the rest of the piece and shows, in a certain way, the interior of the material.
Rosario Guillermo is a renowned ceramic sculptor, who tends to use Mexican historical elements, focuses on movement, big format sculptures and tends to let visible the material of what the sculpture is made.
