- Description: The author, Uthmān b. ʿUmar b. Abī Bakr al-Nāshirī al-Zabīdī, edited the Qurʾān readings of قالون (d. 205/820 or 220/835) and الدورى (d. 250/864) and here completes his work with the reading of حفص بن سليمان (d. 190/806), the student of ʿĀṣim (d. 128/754). First (f.2r) he discusses the lives of the authors and their chains of transmission (السند) in f.2r, followed by f.3v: باب الاستعاذة‘ البسملة‘ هاء الكناية الخ. The treatment of individual sūras begins on f.14v.
