Yard

The tyre with the inscription “Yard” functions as a remainder of the installation Allan Kaprow realised in various indoor and outdoor spaces from 1961 onwards and defined as “environment”. The performative installation series were performed by the artist’s act of piling up varying numbers of tyres or organising them within a limited space.
