According to the inscription of this yari (spear), it was created by Yoshihide, a swordsmith from the Nobukuni school, who lives in Yanagawa of Chikugo Province. The Nobukuni school was based in Chikuzen Province at that time. This indicates that the swordsmiths of the school were spread from Chikuzen to Chikugo Province.
