Yash Chopra, the revolutionary filmmaker, producer and director, was born on 27th September, 1932. His journey began from the lush green fields of Punjab, which kept reappearing in his films in all their splendour. A trailblazer, he paved the way for Indian Cinema with his of filmmaking and storytelling. He passed away on 21 October 2012 (at the age of 80) leaving behind a legacy that will inspire generations to come.
A majestic 'Yash Chopra Suite' was also inaugurated at the Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, Interlaken's most luxurious hotel. The CEO of Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, Mr. Hans - Rudolf Rütti, handed the keys to Yash Chopra and his wife, to what will likely become the most famous suite in the hotel. While other famous celebrities have stayed at the hotel, Yash Chopra is perhaps the only one to have the honour of a suite being named after him, other than King Louis XVI!
