Yeonamjip (Collection of Bak Ji-won's Writings)

This manuscript contains a collection of writings by Bak Ji-won (1737-1805), including poetic works and essays related with the characteristic features of Northern Learning (Bukhak) and practical knowledge for the promotion of profitable usage and public welfare. The book also contains a number of stories that satirize the corrupt lifestyle and hypocrisy of the aristocracy, including The Story of a Nobleman (Yangbanjeon), The Story of Master Yedeok (Yedeokseonsaengjeon), and The Story of Gwangmun (Gwangmunjajeon).
