Peasant Woman

In this work, the painter portrays a peasant woman dressed in traditional folk attire. The girl’s dark hair is covered by a white headscarf, embroidered with a piece of blue fabric. Her blouse, with its gathered sleeves, is also embroidered with blue and red thread. As she sits, her skirt is arranged in such a way that the white undergarments are visible between the red and black pieces of fabric.
