Since his return from Europe in 2006, Andy Dewantoro has dabbled in landscape painting. Andy’s landscape artwork series attempt to explore the hollowness in recent developments of modern art, which ignores the influence of religion in artistic expression. Although he doesn’t put human forms in his landscapes, Andy’s works still demonstrate the urban dilemma of human space in this modern era. Andy’s landscapes do not merely show the beauty of nature that celebrates the glory of God.
