Bevan quickly abandoned etching in favor of lithography. The similarities between his drawings and prints produced between 1890 and 1891 attest to this evolution. In this drawing, a young Breton woman is depicted in profile, her gaze directed straight ahead. She wears a headdress from Moëlan. In one of his lithographs, the artist revisits this same female figure with the same headdress, but this time seen in three-quarter view, gazing directly at the viewer. As in the drawing, the features are delicate: the face is slender, the mouth narrow and closed.
