A photograph of Don Bradman in the backyard of 20 Glebe Street, Bowral, Australia. Despite top-scoring with 43 for a NSW Second XI v Victoria at the SCG in January 1927, he had to wait until the start of the 1927-1928 season to win his first NSW Sheffield shield cap and blazer. Bradman played his first match for NSW against Broken Hill en route to Adelaide for the Sheffield Shield match against South Australia in December 1927. He scored 46 in Broken Hill and then went on to score a brilliant century (118) in his first-class debut in Adelaide.
