- Long Description: "The half-length depiction presents a lady from the seraglio. The painter has used an older canvas, which previously, soon after 1670, presented an Ottoman dignitary. The layer underneath the lady's head still shows the dignitary's wide white turban. The red-cheeked beauty with long curly hair is wearing luxurious clothes and a turban with numerous pearls. String of pearls and precious stones are adorning the brooch, the collar, the buttons and the trimming of her outer garment. Lost in dreams she looks past the spectator." (dr.Polona Vidmar)
