Bio: Between architecture, sculpture and writing, the works of ZEDZ take shape and appear to emerge from the ground. Born in Leiden in 1971, started doing graffiti at the age of fourteen. In 1992 Zedz moved to Amsterdam for studying at the Gerrit Rietveld Art academy. After graduating in 1998 he started working as a visual artist and freelance graphic designer. Zedz works in multiple disciplines: painting, graffiti, 3D graphics. His work takes on more and different sizes, from miniatures to monumental scale models, drawings to real installations, ever to compose a single word: ZEDZ. Sculptures as well as graffiti invaded the surrounding space and invite the viewer to play, interact and rethink the concept of street art.
