Fang Junbi (Fan Tchun-pi), born in Fuzhou and taken by her elder sister to Europe in 1912. From 1917 She studied at the Julian Academy (Académie Julian) in Paris and then at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, France ( École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris ), where she graduated in 1920. Her works were frequently selected to exhibit at the Salon in Paris. She returned to China in 1925. In 1926, Fang went to the National School of Fine Arts in Paris again. She returned to China in 1936. In 1957, she immigrated to the United States.
