Zobo served in a glass with ice cubes and a slice of lemon and a bottle of zobo surrounded by the dried red calyces and sepals of the roselle plant used to make it. Zobo is a refreshing drink from the North that is has become popular all over Nigeria. Zobo is a deep red drink enjoyed at different occasions: parties, ceremonies and simply as a light refreshment. It is also affordable, tasty and has a lot of health benefits. Zobo (or Zoborodo) is the word in the Hausa language for the edible plant hibiscus sabdariffa and the popular drink it is used to make.
