Cypriot clay figurine in the form of a boar. The figurine is hollow and contains little stones or seeds, which means that it was used as a rattle. Zoomorphic rattles were quite common in Cyprus from the Late Bronze Age onwards. This particular example dates to the Archaic period and was probably made in a workshop at Salamis.
