ZUBIN MEHTA HOLDS THE LA PHIL'S ACADEMY AWARD, WITH ERNEST FLEISCHMANN

The documentary film Bolero featuring Zubin Mehta and the Los Angeles Philharmonic captured the rehearsal and performance of Maurice Ravel’s eponymous work. The film premiered on the public broadcast station KCET in Los Angeles on February 19, 1973. It was the winner of many awards including the Oscar in 1974 for best short subject.
