This is a cabinet photo of Zulu Maude Woodhull, Victoria's Woodhull's daughter, born in 1861. Its clarity indicates that it is the product of the original photographer/publisher (Bradley and Rulofson) and not a stolen copy put out by another firm. When Woodhull moved to England, she took her daughter with her. She changed the family name to "Woodhall" to reflect her "English ancestry." She also changed the first name of her daughter from "Zulu' to "Zula," perhaps to make it less exotic, less African.
