The Zündapp company manufactured the Bella motor scooter from 1953 to 1964 in various versions. It was modeled on the Italian Moto Parilla 150 Levrier. Production of the R 200 like the one shown here began in 1954. More than 26,900 were sold. Riders primarily appreciated the air-cooled engine, certifying it on par with the best motorcycle quality. Its kick-starter and pedal control are reminiscent of a motorcycle. Additional storage space was available under the fold-up seat so that the Bella was also ideal for day trips.
