The Polish Museum in Rapperswil

Polish doctor, anatomist, Professor of anatomy at the University of Geneva, fighter during the January Uprising, Polish emigration activist. In the years 1869-1975, he held the function of associate professor of anatomy and operational surgery at the practical school of Paris medical faculty. In 1871, he took part in French-Prussian war as head surgeon of one of military ambulances; he was also very active during the singe of Paris. After 1875, he moved to Geneva, invited by the Council of the State of the Republic of Geneva. It was where he co-created the faculty of medicine at the University of Geneva. He was a Polish emigration activist in Switzerland, established the Museum of Anatomy in Geneva and held the function of director of Polish Museum in Rapperswil. He was a member of the National League in the years 1895-1910.
