The final design for a one thousand (£1000) banknote. The design shows a central block of text with a mythological vignette next to a conjoined profile of William and Mary. On either side is Britannia standing holding a spear and shield. The design also has other figures and classical motifs. Drawn on watermarked paper.

This design was produced by a sub-committee on banknote design set up 1838 but turned down by Court.
