Ìyá Mọòpó – The Power of Women

This video allows a close look at the visual spectacle that is Ìyá Mọòpó, the monumental sculpture of the Yoruba deity of Women's Professions, erected in the Ọ̀ṣun Òṣogbo Sacred Grove by Susanne Wenger and the New Sacred Art Movement. This magnificent piece of art stands high over the Sacred Potter Field in the Grove, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Osun State, Nigeria. IÌyá Mọòpó has held court in this part of the Grove for decades, and welcomes all.
