The cepken is made of plum-coloured velvet with laid cord embroidery in silver cord. The şalvar is made of dark red silk fabric embroidered in strap couched stitch using silver-gilt thread with motifs known as aynalı-pullu, which were widely used in the provinces of Eskişehir and Kütahya. The short cepken has traditional unfitted sleeves. The şalvar is the unfitted type gathered at the waist with a drawstring.
