This is the helmet with a nasal strip and movable cheek plates. The upper part of the helmet is elliptical-shaped. The nape part is concave with a bent edge. The edges of the eye arches and the nasal strip have thickened proportions. Vikentii Khvoika discovered this artifact in 1898 in the burial of a warrior near the village of Pastyrske, Cherkasy region. Ancient Greek armorers made such helmets during the 5th-4th centuries BC in the historical region of Attica. Samples of ancient Greek weaponry could reach the territory of Ukraine through the ancient Northern Black Sea polises.
