View of Sutthaisawan Pavilion from outside of the Grand Palace in Bangkok. Sutthaisawan Pavilion was the High Pavilion of the Grand Palace of the Early Rattanokosin Era, but during the reign of King Rama III, the structure was re-modeled into a "prasat-style" and changed the name from the High Pavilion to Sutthaisawan Pavilion. With the elevation of King Mongkut's brother to the level of a Second Kind, several structures like the High Pavilion were constructed to echo the Sutthaisawan Pavilion in both architecture and function
