‘Wentworth Place, Ham[p]stead’

A watercolour painting of Keats House by American artist and Keats enthusiast Fred Holland Day. Day collected Keats memorabilia at the end of the 19th century, at a time Keats’s poetry was becoming famous worldwide. The image is captioned with the incorrect spelling ‘Wentworth Place Hamstead’. It is the most recent addition to the Keats House collection, purchased in 2020.
