Winter thick woolen scarf called 'szpigiel' or 'szpigieltuch'. One-sided fabric with sumptuous ara-besque pattern in red and orange. In the centre of the scarf there is an irregularly shaped span of plain fabric, the so-called 'szpigiel'. Along the two shorter edges there is a fringe made of colourful plaited tape. Scarf worn only on special occasions by married women. It is folded in half and then diagonally, worn on the head or on the shoulders. Factory made.
